The Negroponte collection combines the ancient Millefiori technique of murrina glass with contemporary metal design.
Each necklace is unique due to the exclusive selection of the Millefiori glasswork.
Mosaic Millefiori is an ancient decorative technique known by the Romans and recovered in Murano at the end of 1800. It consists of the union of glass rods of various colors formed by a predetermined pattern which is then heated to form a single barrel . The rod is then cut to obtain a number of small discs, the “murrina”. Subsequently arranged according to a predetermined pattern, these are heated and processed until obtaining the final shape of the object.
